Important Kabbalistic Prayer Book. Mishnath Chasidim contains the order of prayers for the entire year with the Kavannoth of Rabbi Isaac Luria and further elucidations by the editor. This Koretz issue is the Chassidic edition of this important work, which has remained of fundamental authority to generations of Chassidim. Tauber evidently never saw a copy of this edition and catalogued it based upon Ben Yaakov. Yudlov, followed by Vinograd, erroneously notes the second section as containing 132 leaves, since the penultimate leaf was printed as f. 131. Our copy contains 175 leaves, although the final leaf is printed f.172. RAPHAEL IMMANUEL HAI Ricchi (1688-1743), one of the great Italian rabbis of his day, emigrated to the Land of Israel, but was murdered by pirates on his final trip, as related in the introduction to his lengthy commentary to the Psalms, Chozeh Zion.
