This work became extremely popular because of its detailed, lively descriptions of various places and sites throughout Eretz Israel (including customs of both Jews and Arabs). It was subsequently published in over ten editions. It includes an anonymous 16th-century travelogue of Eretz Israel, information pertaining to the whereabouts of the Ten Tribes, identifies the graves of various Sages, excerpts from the travels of Benjamin of Tudela, prayers etc.
