ESTIENNE BIBLE WITH AN ANGLO-AMERICAN PEDIGREE. Mr. Deliverance Larkham, son of Mr. George Larkham of Cockermouth, was about the year 1694, pastor of the church at Launceston, England. George Larkham was the son of the Rev. Thomas Larkham, founder of the United Reform Church of Tavistock, England in 1652. Thomas Larkham, a graduate of Cambridge, in early life had been compelled, on account of his religious beliefs, to take refuge in New England. An Anglican minister, Larkham was one of the original founders of Dover, New Hampshire in 1640. See Herbert L. Osgood, The American Colonies in the Seventeenth Century (1904), Vol. I, p. 375; Susan Hardman Moore, The Atlantic Pilgrims Progress: New Englanders and England in Mid-Seventeenth Century (in progress); idem, “‘Pure folkes’ and the parish: Thomas Larkham in Cockermouth and Tavistock,” in D.
