Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz, son of R. Chaim of Kosiv and son-in-law of R.Yisrael of Rizhin had thousands of followers; he authored the “Tzemach Tzedek.” R. Chanoch of Alesk, son-in-law of R. Shalom Rokeach of Belz authored the “Lev Sameach.” The author, a relative of Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vizhnitz, was the son of R. Tzvi Hirsch of Strelisk. His other works were published posthumously under the title “Or Yitzhar.”
