The sixteenth-century Kabbalist, Israel Sarug, was one of the principle disciples of Isaac Luria (the AR”I). At the death of his master, Sarug devoted himself to the propagation of the later's Kabalistic system, for which he gained many adherents in various parts of Italy. In this short work, he interprets the Kabbalistic references inherent to three of Luria’s Sabbath hymns; “Azamer Bi’shvachin,” “Asader Li’sudatha” and “Benei Hechalah”
