The calendars contain information regarding the molad for the New Moon, dates of Jewish Holidays, Biblical portions of the week and historical events. Also contain dates of Christian holidays, the dates of fairs and market days. The 1740 Jessnitz calendar also states which days are suitably conducive for medical treatment, moving house and travelling; warning that such matters should be taken with the utmost seriousness
