It is important to note that ff.13-16 are not lacking but were indeed never printed. Four further copies have been consulted (British Library, Hebrew University and two private collections) and all collate as the copy here offered. There is no copy of this work in the Library of the Jewish Theological Seminary, New York Few of Saadia Gaon’s biblical exegesis has survived, this rare commentary to the Song of Songs is little known
