Falk’s most celebrated work, the Me’irath Enayim is an extensive exposition and elaboration on Shulchan Aruch: Choshen Mishpat, especially the glosses of Moses Isserles. It is published in all editions of the Shulchan Aruch. Falk often acts as the intermediary between Joseph Karo and Isserles where they disagreement arise. His purpose was to counter the numerous scholars who were content to base their opinions on the Shulchan Aruch alone with out investigating the sources. The Me’irath Enayim greatly contributed in making the Shulchan Aruch an authoritative source of Jewish law. See M. Waxman, Vol. II, p. 158
