The celebrated “Book of Cows” - a Yiddish book of fables that first appeared in Verona in 1595, of which only a single copy is extant. It is one of the most profusely illustrated works of early Jewish Literature. The identity of the author has been the subject of much scholarly research. It was printed by Abrahan ben Mattitja Bat-Sheva during his years at Verona before he returned to his native Salonika after 1595
