Sir Moses Montefiore’s Zemiroth Book. Clearly used - as evidenced by food-stains. Opening blank inscribed: “ From Helen Sarah Montefiore to her dear Uncle, Sir Moses Montefiore, Bart. As a small offering of her regard and affection.” Apparently written by Sir Moses’ niece herself, perhaps an uncommon accomplishment given the dearth of solid Hebrew educational opportunities for young women in England at the time
