This Polish scholar was rector of Warsaw’s Institute of Judaistic Sciences. The present classical study has the grim distinction of being Poland’s last Hebrew publication prior to the decimation of it’s Jews (cf. J. Landau, Oroth Me’ophel, Bibliography of Jewish Books Published in Europe 1933-1945 (1957).
The author perished in Trawniki in 1943. See EJ, XV col.351
