Seemingly the first Jewish prayer book printed in Argentina. The title page reads "For the use of the Israelites that are dwelling in Argentina." Argentina's Jewish community dates to 1580, but only took root in the mid-nineteenth century when Jews were granted religious freedom. The population of Argentina (primarily Ashkenazic) increased largely after the establishment of the Jewish Colonialization Association which acquired land in Argentina for Jewish settlers to farm
