Material to be utilized in the anti-Passover drive of the Yevsektia, the Jewish wing of the Soviet Communist Party. With a literary supplement. “The Communist Party and its Jewish Sections regarded the values and institutions of the Jewish community as so alien to Marxist ideology and to the new society that was to be based on it that they were determined to eradicate them as soon as possible. Bolshevism brooked no compromise...Its intolerance was exaggerated in Jewish affairs because the (Yevsektia)...were determined to prove themselves “more Bolshevik than Lenin” and fully qualified to carry out the revolution on the Jewish street.” See Z. Gitelman, A Century of Ambivalence: The Jews of Russia and the Soviet Union 1881 to the Present (1988) pp.108-21
