(Chief Rabbi of Cracow, son of the “Chatham Sofer.” b.1820-d.1883). Collection of various novellae, responsa, sermons and letters from the Mattersdorf and Cracow periods. Most Autograph, some Signed, in Hebrew. Including: I: Autograph responsa, Signed in Hebrew to Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Jacob, Rabbi of Leavenworth in the USA, concerning a divorce. II: Responsa to his brother, R. Abraham Samuel Sofer (“Kethav Sofer”). III: Sermons on Repentance and “Shovavim”; a lengthly sermon for Shabath Ha’gadol; the Sabbath preceeding Passover; sermon for Tekiath Shofar. IV: Novellae on rtactate Kidushin; on “kidusha b’tamra” (betrothal with a date) and “mekadesh be’milva” (betrothal with a loan) and others on Tractates Gittin, Kethuboth and Pesachim.
