The highly wrought title-page was a hallmark of the Zanetti family of printers. The author was the son-in-law of BENJAMIN BEN MATTITHIAH (OF ARTA), the author of Sepher Benyamin Ze’ev, and a disciple of R. David Cohen of Corfu. The title page of this volume also bears the ownership inscription and signature of R. Issachar Baer Jeiteles, dated 1654. A member of the prominent Prague Family, Issachar Baer served as leader of the Prague community from 1666 until his death in 1685.
