This Pentateuch was issued as a model to be followed by Scribes writing a Torah Scroll. The book is arranged so as to conform to the required Halachic laws necessary for the Scribe’s work. Each pair of facing pages in the book represents one column of the Torah - traditionally 42 lines starting with the letter “Vav.” The “Shira” and “Hazinu” portions printed on wider leaves and folded, to follow the wider columns necessary for a Torah Scroll
