Yudlov notes (no. 778) the Mehlman copy to be similarly incomplete. Indeed he states that no complete copy is extant. As a young man, Joseph Karo resided briefly in Salonika, where he came under the influence of the important Talmudic scholar and Kabbalist Joseph Taitazek.
