A Spanish rendering of the Shulchan Tahor, a summary of portions from Joseph Karo’s Shulchan Aruch. Writen by Joseph Pardo, following his death the manuscript was discovered among his effects by his son David, who promptly published it in Hebrew in 1686 and then prepared the present translation into Spanish. The two Pardos held the position of Hazan of the Sephardi Synagogue at Bevis Marks, London. See A.M. Hyamson, The Sephardim of England (1951) pp.78-9; I.
