A fortunate marriage of works: Modena (1571-1648), a child-progidy, was sent away aged nine to study with Archivolti in Padua. f.80r presents a poem written by Modena in memory of another of his teachers, Moses della Rocca. The poem makes sense whether read as Italian or as Hebrew
