As a Yiddish philologist and literary historian, Zalman Rejzen’s greatest contribution to literature was his 4-volume Lexicon of Yiddish Literature, published in Vilna 1926-29. These letters were the original source material from which Rejzen compiled his monumental work. The letters detail each respondent’s personal and literary biography, many include autograph manuscript poems, articles, stories - occasionally a photograph. Includes A.
