In search of the Lost Ten Tribes, this irrepresible traveler (who styled himself Benjamin of Tudela II) set out for Egypt, visiting the Holy Land, and then journeying on into Syria, Kurdistan, Persia, India and China. Returning to Europe by way of Afghanistan, he also traveled to Algeria, Morocco and Ethiopia. Contains a wealth of information concerning Jewish settlement world-wide. This copy with the map of the author’s travels, rarely found in most other copies.
