R. Tzadok HaKohen Rabinowitz of Lublin (1823-1900) was a profound, highly original thinker and deeply revered Chassidic leader. The title-page bears the last literary mention of the Jews of Josefow, Biłgoraj County, Poland, before their murder at the hands of the Nazis, in what became known as the Józefów Massacre.
