Includes letters from R. Chaim Ozer Grodzinski and R. Avraham Yitzchak Kook regarding indoor weddings. R. Levitan (1878-1941) was a Lithuanian rabbi. Seeking safety from the First World War, he settled in Oslo where he was soon appointed Chief Rabbi of Norway. He authored a few works, most notably his collaboration with R. Joseph Shapotshnik on the enormous Shas Hagadol Sheb’gdolim (London, 1919) - advertised on the final page of the present work. Later, Lewitan vehemently opposed the collaboration.
