Seligman Baer (1825-97) was a German-Jewish Masoretic scholar who specialized in Hebrew liturgy. An adherent of Heidenheim, he issued editions of the Torah and Early Prophets, as well as a prayer-book with a philological commentary. Additionally, Baer explored topics such as the Kinnoth, Shechitah and Brith Milah.
