The anonymous author sets out in detail the approaches of Maimonides, Sa’adia Ga’on and Gersonides (RaLBa”G), as well as other medieval rationalists. After citing them at length, from sources such as Emunoth VeDe’oth and Moreh Nevuchim, the author proceeds to explain the texts, expand on differences between the rabbis’ positions and seeks to resolve difficulties that appear to arise from their views.
