R. Yissachar Baer Segal Frank (1777-1845) was a member of Pressburg’s elite rabbinical class and authored a number of popular works geared towards the layman - or in this case, laywoman. The topics covered in this tract were commonly attended to by the homemaker, and is thus written in the vernacular Yiddish so as to increase its user-friendliness.
