Talmudic novellae by the author of the famed Eliyah Rabbah on Shulchan Aruch. The present volume contains novellae on Tractates Ketuboth, Kiddushin, Gittin, Bava Kama, Bava Bathra and Chullin. The work was printed by Shapira’s grandson and namesake, Elijah ben Wolf Shapira. R. Elijah Shapira (1660-1712) was the brother-in-law of Rabbis David Oppenheim and Jacob Reischer. Rabbi of Tiktin and Rosh Yeshiva in Prague, R. Shapira’s blossoming rabbinical career was cut short by his untimely death.
