The compendium by R. Moshe of Coucy (13th century), Sepher Mitzvoth Gadol (Semag), divided into two parts - negative and positive commandments - is probably the most important classification of the 613 precepts following Maimonides' Sepher HaMitzvoth. One of the primary differences between the two Codes is that the Semag includes much Aggadic material, whereas Maimonides restricted himself to purely halachic matters.
