Rudolf Kommoss (1904-?) stemmed from a Baltic German family that emigrated to Germany after Latvia became independent after the First World War. After he became a member of the Nazi party in 1932, he used his knowledge of Russian to advantage and worked as a journalist for the Russian weekly newspaper Novoe Slovo (The New Word), aimed at the Russian émigré colony in Germany and aimed at restoring the Russian Empire within the framework of “Christian values” and against the “Jewish-Communist world conspiracy.” The present anti-Semitic monograph “Jews Behind Stalin” was translated into several foreign languages and supported the thesis of Jewish Bolshevismas as a globally coordinated menace.
