This exceptional manuscript was in the collection of G.B. de Rossi (1742-1831). In 1816 de Rossi sold it to Napoleon’s wife, Marie Louise, Duchess of Parma for 100,000 francs. She subsequently presented it to the Palatina Library in Parma, where it remains.
