Son of R. Nathan Lewin of Rohatyn, R. Aharon Levin (1879-1941) was an influential member of the Agudath Israel, and as such, become one of the leaders of Polish Jewry in the run up to World War Two. He was murdered alongside his brother Yechezkel Lewin by Ukrainian Fascists.
