The Yeshiva d’Chassidei Belz was first operated out of a structure in Jerusalem’s Katamon neighborhood in 1950. However, R. Aharon Rokeach the Grand-Rebbe of Belz envisioned an impressive building located in the heart of Jerusalem. His plans came to fruition with the laying of the cornerstone of the now-famous Yeshiva on Agripas Street - a building which still serves its purpose nearly seven decades later. The present notebook contains a list of hundreds of donors who would pledge sums every day following prayers. The amounts committed are small, testifying to both the humble means of the contributors, as well as their faith in the future. The Chassidim listed are among those who took part in their Rebbe’s vision of re-establishing the Belz court in Eretz Israel, only a few years after the destruction of European Jewry in the Holocaust. <<A most useful record of historical information.>>
