With detailed listing of events held during the course of this exhibition from March 5th-11th. Includes many names of honorees. In 1914, Schatz left Jerusalem to tour the United States, bringing with him a traveling exposition of works from the Bezalel School, which were exhibited in New York and Cincinnati. The tour was a resounding success. In Schatz’s words: “Not with the sword, nor with fire, but with the spirit can we win out our rights; only by our spiritual creativeness and with culture can we gain recognition of cultured people. Bezalel is a part of our culture, it is the only Jewish art school in the world and it is the property of the entire Jewish people.
