<<Rare first edition of this important commentary to Orach Chaim.>> The work provides reasons for the laws, supplying a broad collection of relevant rabbinic opinions. Additionally, customs of the author’s teacher, R. Solomon Luria are recorded, with particular emphasis on the approaches taken by Polish Jewry. Mateh Moshe was an immensely popular work and is cited countless times in later Halachic texts, such as Magen Avraham and Mishnah Berurah. The author, R. Moshe ben Avraham of Przemyśl (c. 1550-1606), was rabbi in Belz, Przemysl and Opatow.
