<<Rare. This Lublin edition is far more scarce than the First Edition (Sabbioneta 1556).>> The most important source for ritual customs (minhagim), both within and without the synagogue, as accords to Aschkenazi rite. The work paints a most faithful picture of the religious and social life of the German Jews in the 14th- and 15th-centuries. Born in Cologne, Rabbi Josef Hirsch Dunner (1913-2007) found safety in England following the rise of German Nazism. He grew to become head of the Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations, the umbrella organisation of Anglo-Chareidi Jewry, a position he occupied for decades.
