An early Kabbalistic prayer book with Lurianic Kavanoth based upon the writings of R. Moshe Zacuto. Although a Siddur with such kavanoth was previously published in 1712 under the title Beth Tephilah, the present edition contains many additions in a host of areas: Halacha, Kavanoth, Minhagei Chassidim, etc. The importance of these additions are highlighted in the approbation of Meldola’s father, the Chief Rabbi of Bayonne, France. Interestingly, a portion for Tisha B’Av (ff. 122b-125) contains a Ladino translation and commentary. Astronomical tables with a commentary by the editor R. David Meldola appear on ff. 130-142.
