The Hundred Days War (March-July 1815), was fought between Napoleonic France and much of the rest of Europe. It began when Napoleon escaped exile and reclaimed control of the French army. This special prayer session was undertaken by the Jews of Amsterdam on July 5th, just two weeks after the decisive Battle of Waterloo was won. It comprises themes seeking peace, stability and the continuation of the reign of King William I.
