Calendar and Yearbook of the Jewish community of Antwerp for 5700 (September, 1939 - September, 1940). Following The 18 Days Campaign, Belgium fell to the Germans and the Jews were immediately in danger. The Military Government swiftly passed a series of anti-Jewish laws which later led to enforced deportations and ultimately, extermination. This calendar was the last such Jewish publication prior to the fall of Antwerp. It contains a great deal of information regarding the multiple organizations that served the community at the time.
