A disciple of the Ksav Sofer and R. Yitzchok Aaron Landsberg, R. Winker served as rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in the town of Mád, Hungary. Greatly revered, by way of his yeshiva he became one of Hungary’s most influential rabbinic figures. Author of the series of responsa, Levushei Mordechai.
