A highly well-regarded Hungarian posek, R. Shaul Rosenberg was a disciple of the Maharam Schick. He authored responsa that were published posthumously as Chemdas Shaul (Jerusalem, 1969). Rabbi Pinchas Zimetbaum (1865-1944) was a Dayan in Klausenberg, and then the rabbi of Grosswardein. He was also close to the Shinover Rav, R. Yechezkel Shraga Halberstamm. His daughter, Rebbetzin Rivka Leah, was the first wife of R. Yitzchak Yaakov Weiss, the Minchas Yitzchak. Both she, her father and all her siblings were murdered in Auschwitz.
