Woodcut title within ornate arch, three divisional titles, initial word of each book within wood-engraved frame. Outline of the 24-book contents penned in Latin on flyleaf with grammatical notations on verso. Previous owners’ signatures (including 18th-century members of the Cotton and Foster families). ff. 506, (1). Contemporary sheep with indistinct blind-stamped arms with garter flanked by initials “G C,” rebacked with covers reattached upside down, binding heavily worn, joints cracked, cords intact; opening leaves conspicuously dampstained, scattered later marginalia, ink blot in outer margin of last several leaves, final leaf of Luach HaHaftarot creased and frayed. 17th- and 18th-century owners' inscriptions on front endpaper.
