R. Meir Yosef Rubin was the son of R. Baruch Rubin (the She'eris Baruch, 1864-1936) who was the rabbi of Glogau and Admor of Dombrovo. R. Meir Yosef’s father-in-law was R. Avraham Steiner (1883-1927) Admor of Kerestir, and a brother-in-law of the celebrated R. Yeshaya Steiner, who succeeded his father as Kerestirer Rebbe. R. Meir Yosef’s brother was R. Ya’akov Yisroel veYeshurun Rubin (1885-1944), The Sulitza-Sasregen Rebbe. Budapest Rabbi Avraham Frankel (1860-1937) was a disciple of the Shevet Sofer, president of the Kollel Shomrei Hachomoth in Jerusalem and a member of the Hungarian Parliament.
