R. Yisrael Tzvi Rottenberg’s father, R. Yehosef Rottenberg (1853-1911) was the founder of Kosson Chassidus. After his death, an elder son succeeded, until his own untimely death in 1920, whereupon R. Yisroel Tzvi became Rebbe - in addition to his responsibilities as director of a thriving Yeshiva. The Menahel of the yeshiva was the Rebbe’s son-in-law, R.
