Chagiz was renowned for his campaign opposing Jewish heresy, seeking to root out secret adherents of Shabbthai Tzvi. Bringing David ibn Zimra’s Or Kadmon to press was Moses Chagiz’s first publishing venture. Chagiz took advantage of the opportunity to append a short treatise of his own on Repentance. See E.
