Issued in honor of Sir Moses Montefiore’s final visit to Eretz Israel, is fully titled: “The Song of Praise/ Sung by the Jews of Jerusalem/ In the Great Synagogue/ Minor Temple Tifereth Israel/ by the Choir of the Volhynian Chasidim.” Montefiore had been appointed gabbai of the Volhynian Chasidim in Eretz Israel by the rebbe of Sadigora in 1846 at the urging of the printer, Nissan Bak.
