A leading opponent of Thomas Hobbes's political and philosophical views, the English philosopher and professor of Hebrew Ralph Cudworth (1617-88) also headed the Cambridge Platonists. Chapters in the present work include: The Jewish Custome of Feasting upon Sacrifices; Concerning the Jewish Passeover; and The Passeover a Sacrafice. Many Biblical and Talmudic verses and classical commentaries (i.e. the Targum, R’ David Kimchi, Nachmanides, etc) are cited.
