and stamped M941 at end of fingerboard, the two-piece back of medium curl, the ribs of faint medium curl, the later scroll attributed to George Chanot of narrow curl, the varnish of a golden red color, length of two-piece back 359 mm. Certificate: W.E. Hill & Sons, London, December 2nd, 1949, with annotation dated February 2nd, 1977 by Desmond Hill. Letter: W.E. Hill & Sons, London, December 30th, 1949.
