Two contemporary accounts of the first war crime trials held against Nazi defendants, following Russian recapture of Soviet territory. During their occupation, SS units had massacred thousands of Russians, especially Jews and Communists. The trials, held by a Soviet military Court, were conducted while the war against Hitler was still ongoing. These two war crimes trials were held almost two years prior to far better known Nuremberg Trials. Author of the third pamphlet, Bohuslav Ečer (1893-1954), was chairman of the Czechoslovakian delegation at the International Military Tribunal for the punishment of war criminals at Nuremberg.
