Published shortly after the Hebron massacre, in which 67 Jews were killed.Contains a Hebrew prayer, issued by the Office of the Chief Rabbi, to be recited during the Yizkor service and on all Sabbaths during the month of Ellul. Notably, the line “Ve-al yosifu ‘od bnei avlah la’anot et amkha yisrael,” literally meaning “And let [these] unjust people no longer torment your nation, Israel,” is instead translated as: “And may Israel be safe from violence for evermore.” Perhaps a form of self-censorship?
