TWO BEZALEL-DECORATED BRASS ARTILLERY SHELL-CASES
A rare British 18-pounder, alongside the more common German 15-pound example.

Each cylinder with registers of acid-etched organic patterning, marked Bezalel on verso and each with central designs. The first with rampant British lion set within Star-of-David. The second featuring the insignia of the Royal Army Medical Corps: The Rod of Asclepius, surmounted by a crown, enclosed within a laurel wreath along with the regimental motto “In Arduis Fidelis” (Faithful in Adversity). H: 11.5 and 11 inches (29.2 and 28 cm).
